A Trip To Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, a tropical island nation in the Indian Ocean in South Asia, has a long history reaching back to the dawn of time. It’s a place where Buddhism’s original soul still thrives, and where nature’s beauty is abundant and unspoiled.
Few sites on the planet can provide a traveler with such a unique blend of magnificent scenery, pristine beaches, intriguing cultural history, and unique experiences in such a small space. Eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, 1,330 kilometers of coastline – much of it pristine beach – 15 national parks showcasing an abundance of wildlife, nearly 500,000 acres of lush tea estates, 250 acres of botanical gardens, 350 waterfalls, 25,000 water bodies, and a culture dating back over 2,500 years are all contained within a 65,610-kilometre area. Serendib, Taprobane, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, and Ceylon were all names given to this magnificent island.
Sri Lanka tourism earnings reached $682 Million in 2020 which fell from $4 Billion in 2019. This is mainly due to the Covid-19 which reduced the international travel.
