DAY 1 => Arrival in Cape Town & Constantia Valley
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, collect your rental vehicle and transfer to the historic Constantia Wine Valley. Settle into your 5-star accommodation set among nine acres of manicured gardens. Spend the remainder of your day relaxing, sampling local wines, or taking a peaceful stroll around the historic estate grounds to unwind after your flight.
DAY 2 => Table Mountain & Cape Town City Exploration
Spend the day exploring the vibrant city center of Cape Town. Ride the aerial cableway up Table Mountain for panoramic Atlantic ocean views. Visit the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for shopping and dining, or explore the contemporary exhibits at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary African Art. Conclude your day with a scenic coastal sunset drive.
DAY 3 => Cape Peninsula & Boulders Beach Penguins
Drive along the coastal roads of the Cape Peninsula. Stop at Cape Point Nature Reserve where two ocean currents meet, and take in the dramatic sea views. Visit the protected waters of Boulders Beach to watch the resident colony of African penguins, and return via Chapman's Peak Drive for sunset scenery.
DAY 4 => Robben Island & Kirstenbosch Gardens
Focus on Cape Town's rich history and diverse natural flora. Take a ferry from the V&A Waterfront to Robben Island for a guided tour of Nelson Mandela’s former prison cell. In the afternoon, visit the base of Table Mountain to stroll through the treetop canopy walkway at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
DAY 5 => Scenic Coastal Drive to Hermanus
Depart Cape Town and drive east towards the coastal town of Hermanus. Check into your cliffside 5-star hotel offering direct views over Walker Bay. Spend the afternoon strolling along the cliffs, listening to crashing ocean waves, and scanning the waters for marine wildlife directly from the cliff path.
DAY 6 => Hermanus Whale Watching & Hemel-en-Aarde Wine Tasting
Dedicated to ocean and wine experiences in the Whale Coast region. Spend the morning searching for Southern Right Whales along the shore or via an optional boat tour. DAY 7 => Drive the Garden Route to Plettenberg Bay
Leave Hermanus and embark on a road trip through the heart of the Garden Route toward Plettenberg Bay. Pass through coastal villages, rolling farmland, and lush forests. Arrive at your headland hotel offering sweeping vistas of the Indian Ocean, and enjoy a quiet evening on the beach.
DAY 8 => Robberg Peninsula & Plett Winelands
Spend the day enjoying the outdoor attractions surrounding Plettenberg Bay. Hike the trails of Robberg Nature Reserve for high-elevation ocean views and seal colony sightings. Afterwards, unwind with a visit to the Plett Winelands to sample sparkling wines and fresh regional cuisine.
DAY 9 => Tsitsikamma Forest & Bloukrans Bridge
Explore the wild landscapes surrounding the eastern stretch of the Garden Route. Drive to Tsitsikamma National Park to walk across the Storms River suspension bridge and view pristine indigenous forests. Thrill-seekers can stop at the nearby Bloukrans Bridge, home to the world's highest commercial bungee jump.
DAY 10 => Drive to Founders Lodge & Afternoon Safari
Depart Plettenberg Bay and drive to Mantis Founders Lodge, located in the Greater Addo region of the Eastern Cape. Arrive at the hilltop lodge in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, set out on your first 4x4 open-vehicle game drive to search for the Big Five in a malaria-free reserve.
DAY 11 => Big Five Game Drives & Conservation Focus
Begin early with a morning game drive as predators are active. Learn about the reserve’s pioneer rewilding history and conservation efforts. Return to the lodge for breakfast and leisure time by the pool or spa. Embark on an afternoon game drive ending with sundowner drinks in the African bush.
DAY 12 => Wildlife Tracking & Luxury Lodge Relaxation
Enjoy another day immersed in the Eastern Cape wilderness. Join expert rangers on morning and afternoon game drives focused on tracking rare wildlife, bird species, and diverse flora. Between drives, relax at the lodge pool, visit the steam room, or enjoy panoramic views from the hilltop boma.
DAY 13 => Morning Safari & Departure via Port Elizabeth
Take a final morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Check out and drive your vehicle to Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). Return your rental vehicle at the airport terminal prior to boarding your onward flight.
