Travel along the Indo-Tibetan Highway and cross the Khab Bridge, where the Spiti and Satluj rivers converge. Stop for a short break at Nako Lake and enjoy lunch. Continue your journey into the Spiti Valley after crossing Sumdo. Just 3 km after Sumdo, take a right detour to visit the 500-year-old mummy in Gue Village. Proceed to Tabo, where you will spend the night at a hotel.

    After a delicious breakfast, set out towards Kaza. On the way, take a detour to the small hamlet of Dhankar, perched above the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers. If time permits, climb for about an hour to visit the stunning turquoise Dhankar Tso (Dhankar Lake) and enjoy panoramic views of the valley. Continue your drive towards the picturesque Pin Valley, home to a national park filled with wildlife, rare plants, and plenty of trekking opportunities. First, visit the Kungri Monastery, then head to Mudh, the last motorable village in Pin Valley. Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley is home to endangered snow leopards, along with the Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, and marten. You’ll also spot a variety of birds, including griffon vultures, golden eagles, and ravens, painting the sky above the valley. After exploring, continue your drive to Kaza for an overnight stay at the hotel.
